Not appropriate.  What if one were to go off?  It's a very mixed message in the days of Columbine and the like.  Bet the NRA likes it, though...   laurie

VERY APPROPRIATE...AFTER ALL WHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD CAN YOU FIND AN ARMED WOMAN WHO THINKS A WHITE WOOD GUN IS HER AMAZING EQUALIZER? GARY

i believe it's unappropriate because of them holding the tip of the gun towards them..Fue

Just plain gay!  Give them a few more years and they'll be buying fake titties and posing for nudy web sites.  hehehehe thea

Why the guns?  why why why?  how many school shootings do we have to have before we strickly enforce that guns are not to be included, allowed, associated, or incorporated with schools (and kids for that matter).  Seriously I want to know the reasoning of why these girls were toting guns and not the typical glitter baton or flag?  I just heard about a elementary school kid that is potentially going to be expelled because he used a broom coupled with foil to imitate a gun during a civil war reinactment.  I mean that is one extreme and then you have this, a school related group participating in a public function and they are waving actual gun replicas around?  I just don't get it.  I don't see any reason of why they HAD to use guns in this demonstration.  I mean what is the sole purpose of a gun = it is a weapon, it's purpose is to seriously injure or kill someone or something.  It is not a toy, not a prop, and surely not necessary for a bunch underage girls to be waving around in an community parade.  whew, I guess I feel strongly about this.

It's not appropriate, but than again so are many things that have become a part of tradition.  Tradition is a funny thing.  We hold on to thing even we it is no longer appropriate.  Hasmikisn't this america??? every girl who doesn't have a gun---needs one. i mean come on,,you never know when......some other crazy ass american freakshow will try and kill you with their gun. gotta keep the shizzah controlled. word. if you don't agree, i'll control you.... –tyler

Gun Toting Flag Girls are very Appropriate.  I think we should arm all kids.  I would feel much safer if had a guns for kids program in every school.  No kid left behind should include arms.

I really can't decide on this issue, I can see both sides here.  One, there aren't many things that make good twirling thingies.  But, on the other hand, this looks to be a family affair so maybe better judgement should have been used in the kiddies best interest.  In relation to the first argument, I haven't seen too many gun twirling females in my lifetime and I'm all for equal rights among the sexes, so for me, this is a giant step in the right direction of making men and women more equal.  But, you don't want the kiddies growing up with the dream of twirling guns to entertain others.  This is too hard, kill them all, the bastards. Jeremy

Part of me says Not Appropriate.  Fue had the best observation…check out the girl on the right.  The gun is pointed directly at the girls own chest…what is the message there?  Josh
