Not Appropriate / Undecided
I think that symbol is quite appropiate. What it
means to me is sit down and shut up or we'll stick an anchor up your ass.
It's a creative symbol for "up yours". Jeremy
VERY appropriate! hehehe Are teachers allowed to to tie anchors to students? THea
Not

Its
appropriate if your flying F-16s on and off a carrier...cause u need an anchor
cable to keep your butt from going in the ocean, hence the phrase from the Navy
"anchors away"...which is of course not true. but as to the use for
me, if something told me I would have an anchor popping out my butt I
do believe I would refrain from that activity, Carnival rides, escalators,
elevators, swing sets, come to mind, so I vote appropriate "only
for Government service restricted high clearance personnel only". Gary
i would have
too say not appropriate.. fue
Hmmmm...if the
goal is to drown the child then the image is appropriate and clearly shows how
the action will take place. However, throwing children into the sea may
not be your bag of cheese. So i say....No. Chris
Appropriate Robert
appropriate I
guess. Although it makes me think of the Love Boat for some reason.

I will say this is not appropriate. Mainly, I say this because I am not at all confident in my interpretation of the
symbol, rendering it ineffective to those who see it (of course, this is assuming that I am not of substantially lower
intelligence when compared to most people viewing the symbol, which is a huge assumption). It appears to me to be
indicating that the seat can be used as a flotation device, but then it shows an anchor. I'm guessing this indicates
that you would use it in water? Where else would you use a flotation device? Does it also function as an anchor and,
if so, how is this accomplished? Very confusing. To sum up, any symbol that generates this much speculation as to its
meaning does not meet its intended goal to succinctly convey information, and is therefore not appropriate. Holly
After further
review the symbol is...INappropriate... it is percieved by this pollster as some
sort of ejection/catapult mechanism. If on a boat I do not relish sitting
in a seat that is connected to any anchor destined to the bottom of some
wretched fathom. If terrestrial, I think the symbol speaks for itself.
Inappropritae! Dave
Appropriate??
Sure...It's got a message. Sometimes, though, it is not understood by all,
but yes, it is appropriate for something.

Definitely
inappropriate! people should not be sitting on top of each other with an
anchor attached to one of their heads! What kind of people are we
becoming??? This is an outrage!!! Bette
Well I would have to say
appropriate for the correct situation. If
this were say, posted on my parachute pack then it would be inappropriate.
