Ashtray never holds ashes.  It is the repository of spare change, when I have it, so when I don't have it, I can stop and get some value meal goodness at a fast food place.  This, of course, is assuming my poor truck is running, which he hasn't been for 1 1/2 years.  That said, the new clutch is getting put in before the end of the month and I will be on the road again!     But I digress...  spare change.  That's all.  Laurie

My ashtray is home to mostly nickles and dimes, left over from my roadtrip to Ohio.  I had to have lots of change for the toll roads, and somehow there's some left over.  It proves very handy for parking meters.  Maggie

 Roches in my ashtray.....Bucket

I keep change in my ash tray but now i don't have an ashtray because someone broke into my car.  Fue

cherry air freshener and some change ~ Thea

My ashtray is completly empyt that way I have evidance if someone smokes the car because smoking is stricty prohibited in my car.  After long road trips it is full of gum and candy wrappers and sunflower seeed shells with the occatioal small chockable children's toy.  Hasmik

My ashtray: YMCA membership card, Indoor Soccer players card, coupon for $30 massage, note paper with the kinds of guns I shot in Alaska written on it, and NO ASHES!  (I have an un-opened pack of Oder-Eaters shoe inserts in my glove box, go figure...)  -Corrie

in my ash tray is a card that says what to do when you get in a car accident, which has been quite helpful in the past.  there are a few paper clips, lent, some dust and some random tool things- maybe it is a socket or a nut?, oh and the dial for my radio tuner- i sure wish that was attached.  anyway definitly no ashes though. krista

The ashtray in my car is mostly empty.  It falls out if I open it so it has remained mostly untouched for the time that I have owned it.  It seems that once, decades ago, perhaps, there were ashes in it.  While no smell remains, I’m sure that modern carbon dating techniques could reveal precisely when the last smoke was smoked.
