Not a fan, not clever ~ pop-up thought bubbles would be more clever, they would prove how ridiculous man is and how clever the animal is.    Thea

It can be clever but it can be feeble; I liked Mr. Ed; The geico Gecko, Clever; But that freaky picture you sent, feeble; It's all about the context!; Dave "Bish" over and out!

society is horrible. but who am i to say? we are all part of it. MTV is evil. animals that can talk, sure why not... it makes us laugh does it not? pleasure is the downfall of america. ease of effort,,,,,,or more so, laziness is killing us. hey, who is gonna watch the grammies? hahahah  tyler

Clever.  Well, I'm not sure if it's all too clever, but it definitely cracks me up!  Is there really anything funnier than an animal dressed up like something else, or a chance to see inside the animal mind to understand what they are thinking/feeling?  I once ran accross a ferret calendar with all these furry creatures dressed up like famous people.  I laughed my face off!  Sorry, I digress.  I think I just like animals a lot, so I dig the whatever-you-call-this-poll-about.Maggie

clever.  sometimes cute, sometimes annoying, but mostly clever.

What would be clever is if they made these animals say what animals would say if they could talk and then we would get some laughs.  Such as...

"Let me smell your butt, I want to find out if I know you."

"Oh, is that your car, well I made it mine now."

"FEED ME, YOU BASTARD!!!"

"Hmm, you might serve nicely for a meal."

...and so on, really I think they should make humans act out these scenes, so no, it is not clever no more.  Jeremy

I always have high hopes for our world.  At the very core of my being there lives an outspoken optimist.  Unfortunately for him, his small voice is usually drowned out by the screams of cynicism and the pleas of realism.  I want to believe that there is some sort of cleverness in the anthropomorphism of animals in the commercial media, I truly do, but I can’t get past the overt obnoxiousness of it.  Subtlety is a powerful thing, and using a computer to make an animal’s mouth move is in no way subtle and in every way imaginable plays to the lowest common denominator.  Animals don’t talk like humans do.  Let’s accept that and allow them to talk in the way they do best—mocking us in terms we will never comprehend.  Thea, I’m with you on this one—in fact I even want to go further and draw a connection to our unrelenting attempt to assimilate all we encounter…the crusades, manifest destiny, turning animals to humans and so on.  I am, however, afraid that most will find the analogy absurd, so I won’t.  It’s not clever.  Josh
